Position Summary
The Staff Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant pharmacy operations. This position includes prescription verification, patient counseling, and active participation in non-sterile compounding, including final verification of compounded preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions with a high level of accuracy and commitment to patient safety
- Perform and oversee non-sterile compounding in accordance with USP standards
- Conduct final verification of compounded preparations, including formulas, calculations, and documentation
- Provide thorough patient counseling for both traditional and compounded medications
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Maintain accurate compounding records and documentation
- Support efficient workflow while upholding strong clinical standards
- Assist in managing reimbursement and supporting prescription profitability
- Maintain inventory levels, including compounding ingredients and supplies
- Support training and development of pharmacy technicians
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
- Active California Pharmacist License in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
- Compounding experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate
- Strong clinical judgment and mathematical accuracy
- High attention to detail and commitment to documentation standards
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
Physical Requirements
