About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects are delivered in alignment with ownership's financial goals, operational requirements, and long-term asset strategies while maintaining brand compliance and quality standards. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Design and Construction and will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's growth strategy.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the construction phase of each project from documentation, GC options, procurement coordination, and install processes to involve all key stakeholders and ensure new products meet or exceed ownership's expectations.
- Maintain communication internally on the status of construction of all new properties or renovations, ensuring that all construction concerns of the parties are being met.
- Monitor all contractors to ensure their adherence to the details of the appropriate contract, taking appropriate action when necessary to ensure the success of the project.
- Perform any other duties requested by the VP of Design and Construction and support the company's overall objectives.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive project management experience in hospitality, real estate development, or related industries
- Proven track record managing hotel renovations, conversions, and/or new build projects on behalf of an ownership or investment group
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to align construction decisions with asset strategy
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (Excel, MS, Project, or similar)
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel regularly to project sites across the region and nationally, potentially up to 75% of the time, depending on the project needs
