Payroll Specialist

Auria is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO. Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Process semi-monthly payroll for employees
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Maintain and update employee payroll records
• Verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations
• Manage benefits deductions (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions
• Reconcile payroll accounts and generate reports for accounting
• Assist with audits and year-end processes
  
  
  

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred in accounting, finance, or related field)
• 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role
• Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Humanic, ADP, Paychex, or similar systems)
• Understanding of tax regulations and labor laws
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  
  
  

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

• Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
• Experience with HRIS systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $65,000 - $80,000
