What are the responsibilities and job description for the DevSecOps (CI/CD) Engineer position at Auria Space?
Auria is looking to hire a DevSecOps (CI/CD) Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
As a member of the Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC), this role will be responsible for collaborating across the ART to implement and maintain a standardized CI/CD pipeline for all Product Teams within the RA ART, covering two development sites. The candidate will need to work closely with the Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure that the tools and applications in the pipeline are maintained and meet security and other requirements. They will also be expected to provide regular updates on the pipeline's status and work to resolve any issues that arise.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance.
- 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- or a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 4 years of experience,
- or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security , GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% to support business needs
- Proficiency with CI/CD, especially within a classified development environment
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, and their application to IT and IT products
- Linux system administration and security implementations
- Experience with various tools such as:
- Git
- Nexus
- Jenkins
- Jira
- Confluence
- Familiarity with DEVSECOPS practices
- Skills in Linux shell scripting, Ansible playbook creation and management, Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux, and Red Hat repository administration
- Experience working within classified environments to implement CI/CD pipelines supporting multiple software releases and build versions
- Understanding of PaaS and SaaS concepts
- Knowledge of:
- Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
- Multi-Factor Authentication (e.g., IPA and ADFS)
- OpenShift
- OpenStack
- VMware ESXi
- QAS/VAS
- Windows
- Active Directory, backup and recovery, and container orchestration products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess the flexibility to adapt in a highly dynamic environment
