Job Overview

The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) will support US Government customers with the assessment and authorization (A&A) of information systems within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in San Antonio, TX.

Job Responsibilities

• Support Information System Owners (ISOs) and the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with the management of information system assets for the full system lifecycle.

• Ensure continuous monitoring is performed for all assets, proper scans are performed, and asset status is maintained within tracking software.

• Coordinate with coworkers and leadership on cybersecurity, risk posture, and Authorization to Operate (ATO) initiatives.

• Manage and track Program of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) focused on remedying identified vulnerabilities and follow up actions.

• Perform A&A activities in support of maintaining RMF compliance and asset ATOs.

• Develop and present technical reports and briefings including support to the Engineering Review Boards (ERB), other Stakeholder coordination, and leadership status meetings.

• Travel as required (estimated 10%).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related STEM discipline and 10 years direct experience in cybersecurity

• Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required

• Direct experience with A&A, ATO, and RMF is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and DOORS is required

• Active security clearance (TOP SECRET/SCI w/ Counter-Intelligence Polygraph) is required

• Direct experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and A&A for information system assets is desired.

The salary range for this role is 125,000 – 150,000 annually.
