As an Industrial Painter, you'll play a key role in ensuring our custom hydraulic cylinders leave our facility with a professional, durable finish. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare hydraulic cylinders and components for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and inspecting surfaces.
- Apply primers, paints, and protective finishes using spray and other painting equipment.
- Mix paints and coatings to meet quality and durability specifications.
- Inspect finished products and perform touch-ups as needed.
- Package finished cylinders according to shipping specifications and quality standards.
- Verify counts and prepare completed orders for shipment.
- Maintain painting equipment, work areas, and proper ventilation systems.
- Handle paint and solvent waste according to environmental and safety requirements.
- Work closely with team members and production leadership to meet quality and production goals.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and help identify better, safer, and more efficient ways to work.
- Assist in training other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Industrial painting experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
- Manufacturing, production, automotive paint, body shop, powder coating, or related experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Dependable, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Good communication skills and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Physical Requirements
This position works in a manufacturing environment and involves exposure to paint fumes, dust, noise, industrial solvents, and moving equipment.
Applicants must be able to:
- Lift up to 75 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift throughout the shift.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including an air-supplied respirator.
- Safely perform physical, hands-on work in a production environment.
