Job Summary:
Join the Chicago's oldest Pizza chain since 1959. We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Carryout / Cashier Attendant. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient order processing for our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Take customer orders over the phone or in person using the Toast POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and offering menu recommendations
- Ensure accuracy of orders by confirming details with customers and entering information correctly into the system
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
- Handle cash transactions and credit card payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the order taking area
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is a plus
- Familiarity with basic math calculations for order totals and cash handling
- Knowledge of the Toast POS system is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
