Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Material Planning
- Production Planning
- Supply Chain Management
- Inventory Planning & Control
- Purchasing
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM and/or SAP PP modules (required).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Power BI and Power Query for reporting and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, replenishment planning, and material flow.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for end-to-end inventory planning and material availability to support manufacturing operations. You will manage inventory parameters, monitor material shortages, collaborate with purchasing teams, and ensure timely replenishment of materials through SAP.
This role requires strong analytical skills, supply chain expertise, and the ability to optimize inventory while supporting production schedules and customer demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end inventory planning, from purchase requisition through customer invoicing.
- Define and maintain inventory policies based on product segmentation and business requirements.
- Calculate and maintain inventory planning parameters, including:
- Safety stock
- Reorder points
- Lot sizes
- Lead times
- Replenishment strategies
- Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and manufacturing plans.
- Analyze potential material shortages and coordinate corrective actions with the Purchasing team.
- Investigate system alerts and adjust SAP planning parameters when appropriate.
- Collaborate with buyers and suppliers to improve supplier performance related to:
- On-time delivery
- Lead times
- Minimum order quantities (MOQ)
- Product quality
- Supply flexibility
- Support internal customer service requests related to inventory and material planning.
- Generate reports and analyze inventory trends using SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, planning efficiency, and supply chain performance.
- Perform additional planning and supply chain responsibilities as assigned.
