We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler II to perform precision electronic and electromechanical assembly operations in a manufacturing environment. This position involves working with small components, cable harnesses, PCB assemblies, and high-voltage testing equipment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics assembly, soldering, microscope work, and blueprint interpretation, along with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly operations on a production basis.
  • Assemble cable harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and precision mechanical components.
  • Work with small parts and piezoelectric crystals under microscopes for extended periods.
  • Perform soldering, resistance welding, epoxy mixing, bonding, potting, and packaging activities.
  • Conduct high-voltage potting and testing procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
  • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control procedures and classified assembly handling requirements.
  • Record labor and production activities through work orders and company systems.
  • Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Manufacturing teams to meet production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of electronics or electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Experience working with:
    • Cable harness assemblies
    • PCB assemblies
    • Soldering and electronic component assembly
    • Microscopes and precision assembly tools
    • Mechanical assembly of small components
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills for timekeeping, work order tracking, and production documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • J-STD-001 Certification.
  • Experience in high-voltage testing and potting applications.
  • Experience handling sensitive or classified assemblies.

  • Winding and braiding machinery
  • Torque wrenches
  • Digital multimeters
  • High-voltage (up to 12kV) hipot testing equipment
  • Soldering irons
  • Wire strippers and crimping tools
  • Heat guns
  • Microscopes
  • Standard hand tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the shift.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for precision assembly work.
  • Ability to work under microscopes for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment capabilities.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented electronics assembler with experience in precision manufacturing, microscope assembly, soldering, cable harnessing, and PCB work. Candidates with aerospace, defense, medical device, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing experience are highly encouraged to apply.
