We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Assembler II to perform precision electronic and electromechanical assembly operations in a manufacturing environment. This position involves working with small components, cable harnesses, PCB assemblies, and high-voltage testing equipment while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics assembly, soldering, microscope work, and blueprint interpretation, along with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electronic and electromechanical assembly and subassembly operations on a production basis.
- Assemble cable harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and precision mechanical components.
- Work with small parts and piezoelectric crystals under microscopes for extended periods.
- Perform soldering, resistance welding, epoxy mixing, bonding, potting, and packaging activities.
- Conduct high-voltage potting and testing procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and assembly documentation.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control procedures and classified assembly handling requirements.
- Record labor and production activities through work orders and company systems.
- Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Manufacturing teams to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of electronics or electromechanical assembly experience.
- Experience working with:
- Cable harness assemblies
- PCB assemblies
- Soldering and electronic component assembly
- Microscopes and precision assembly tools
- Mechanical assembly of small components
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Basic computer skills for timekeeping, work order tracking, and production documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- J-STD-001 Certification.
- Experience in high-voltage testing and potting applications.
- Experience handling sensitive or classified assemblies.
