Description of Job
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
- Six (6) months of full-time custodial or laundry experience in a professional work setting.
- The person selected for this position must maintain their ability to stand for long periods of time as well as kneel, stoop, crouch, reach and grab in the performance of job-related duties.
- This person selected for this position must maintain their ability to perform the physical demands of this position which include physical manipulating and moving furniture and supplies in excess of 100 lbs. on a frequent basis as well as 20 lbs. to 50 lbs. (occasionally).
- Must be willing and able to withstand exposure to dust and fumes associated with cleaning agents and custodial work.
- Must be willing and able to be exposed to adverse weather while performing snow removal duties in front of building entry/exit ways (as needed).

Per the requirements of the Step Pay Program implemented on July 1, 2024, any State employee must be paid a rate that is equal to or greater than the appropriate step pay rate within their classification’s pay range based on completed years in their current class series as of June 30.
