Part-Time Agent – AuraLight Dispensary

The Role
As a critical part of the business operation, the Dispensary Agent will have the most face-to-face interactions with our customer base. Dispensary Agents are responsible for our customer’s experience. Duties include helping customers, processing transactions, cash handling, and stellar customer service. Dispensary Agents must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences. Dispensary Agents must be outgoing, passionate, and very knowledgeable of AuraLight’s menu of products. Dispensary Agents also assist the Management Team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuous cannabis education including, but not limited to, knowledge of strains, terpenes, consumption methods.
- Stay apprised of any events, promotions and specials and promote them to customers.
- Provide quality customer service and always demonstrate professionalism.
- Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented, and compliant with state and local laws and regulations and established company policies and procedures.
- Accurately record Customer profile and add any pertinent notes that will help provide excellent customer service when the customer returns.
- Encourage Customers to Join Loyalty Program at AuraLight, know and explain the benefits of the Loyalty Program.
- Verifying proper ID for customers.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system including correct cash handling and discount application.
- Full responsibility for an accurate cash drawer and accurate cash transactions.
- Participation in inventory cycle counts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure a presentable presence on the sales floor, including but not limited to clean and neat workstations and well-maintained displays.
- Completes all assigned tasks during overlap hours.
- Make sales recommendations, cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory of all Cannabis products by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts in accordance with state rules and regulations, and Company policy.
- Track products as they enter and leave the dispensary.
- Ensure tracking logs are accurately documented.
- Timely and accurately completes order fulfillment, labeling, and packing according to supervisor direction.
- Complete Opening/Closing duties, initialing the checklist appropriately.
- Other duties as assigned by Management staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- 1 years of experience working in a cannabis retail setting or customer service-related industry
- Must be able to obtain an Illinois issued Cannabis agent card
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, dealing with multiple tasks at once, able to prioritize responsibilities

Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Possess valid driver's license or state ID
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 30 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job function may include walking or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching
- Availability for weekend / evening hours
