Job Description: Are you an experienced ICU nurse looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Night ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at a prestigious hospital in Chicago, IL. Join a dynamic team and make an impact in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Float between various ICU units: Burn ICU, CCU, Medical ICU, SICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU
- Provide expert care to patients with multi-system organ failure and dysrhythmias
- Manage and interpret complex interventions including arterial lines, central lines, continuous IV sedation, and cardiac/vasoactive drips
- Care for ventilated patients and manage BiPAP/CPAP
- Perform ABG interpretation, suctioning, and adhere to isolation precautions
Patient Ratio:
- Up to 1:5
Requirements:
- Current RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Strong skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
- Experience with arterial line management, central lines, and continuous IV sedation
- Proficiency in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP, and managing ventilated patients
- Ability to perform ABG interpretation and suctioning
- Knowledge of isolation precautions
