What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Assistant, Busser, and Host position at Aura Restaurant & Lounge?
This position will be expected to fulfill both roles of server assistant and host depending on scheduling needs.
Server Assistants help in the expediting and running of food from the kitchen, bussing tables, filling ice, and helping the bar with glassware prep and cleaning.
Hosts and Hostesses are the first and last impression guests have of our restaurant, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role involves greeting guests as they arrive, managing the waitlist, and guiding them to their table. You'll also bid guests farewell as they leave, ensuring every interaction is warm and inviting. Our Hosts and Hostesses are expected to provide excellent service, meeting the high expectations of our guests.
The ideal candidate will be able to engage in natural, friendly conversation with guests—without sounding scripted or intrusive. In addition to greeting and seating guests, you are responsible for light housekeeping duties, including refilling beverages, cleaning menus and glasses, and maintaining clean and stocked restrooms. As part of a fast-paced team, you may also assist with answering phones and handling to-go orders when needed.
Hosts and Hostesses will also support server assistants and servers with pre-bussing, bussing, and running food as needed.
This is a non-tipped position.
