About the Role
This role provides direct nursing care within a medically supervised detox program during assigned 12-hour shifts. This role is responsible for medication administration, client monitoring, clinical documentation, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Aura Recovery Center maintains 24/7 program coverage through scheduled staffing, and this position is not expected to provide continuous or on-call coverage outside of assigned shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care during scheduled 12-hour shifts
- Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms and changes in medical status
- Administer medications in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols
- Perform and document nursing assessments and clinical observations
- Respond to medical concerns and emergencies during assigned shifts
- Participate in client admissions, assessments, and discharge coordination as needed
- Collaborate with providers, behavioral health staff, and operations leadership
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
- Follow all safety, infection control, and medication management policies
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements and facility standards
Schedule & Coverage Model
- Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week
- Shifts may include days, nights, weekends, or holidays based on staffing needs
- 24/7 coverage is maintained through team-based scheduling
- Additional shifts may be available on a voluntary basis
Required Qualifications
- Active Nursing license in the state of Kentucky
- Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently within assigned scope of practice
- CPR certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in detox, substance use disorder, or behavioral health settings
- Familiarity with withdrawal management and MAT protocols
- IV certification, if applicable to scope
