Advanced Care Paramedic - Full Time

Role Overview: This position is for an advanced 911 Paramedic responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency medical care during patient transportation. The role involves conducting detailed assessments, collaborating with medical control physicians, and delivering treatments to reduce hospital utilization. Paramedics will respond to patient needs, document care, follow clinical protocols, and work effectively within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities Include

• Ensuring quality patient care and compliance with clinical benchmarks
• Performing assessments, diagnostics, and procedures such as EKGs and wound care
• Operating within an expanded scope of practice, including advanced interventions like intubation and IV placement
• Maintaining supplies and equipment, documenting care accurately, and participating in quality reviews
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals and public safety personnel
• Completing required training within the first year for advanced procedures
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Completion of an accredited Paramedic program and certification as a National Registered and Massachusetts Certified Paramedic
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and at least two years of relevant experience
