Our platform helps procurement, trading, and supply chain teams anticipate volatility, improve purchasing decisions, and stay ahead of market risks.
We are expanding our US presence and looking for an energetic, motivated, and articulate Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Chicago-based Sales Team.
About the Role
As a BDR at Aura, your primary goal is to generate qualified meetings with prospects across the U.S. agricultural and food supply chain. You’ll be engaging with decision-makers at:
- Millers
- Animal Feeders
- Biofuel/Ethanol Producers
- Food & Beverage Companies
- Asset Managers & Funds
- Grain/Oilseed Processors
- Co-ops and Ag Retailers
We provide targeted prospect lists, systems, and training—but you must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll be doing
- Book 12 qualified demos per month for the Account Executive team.
- Conduct high-volume cold outreach—including 50 calls per day—with confidence and professionalism.
- Build and manage a healthy pipeline using Salesforce, Outreach, and other sales tools.
- Create strong first impressions with prospects while clearly communicating Aura’s value.
- Engage in a sales cycle that typically ranges from 4–20 weeks.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to refine messaging and identify new opportunities.
- Represent Aura in the U.S. market as we continue to scale.
What we're looking for
- 6 months to 2 years of SDR/BDR or inside sales experience required.
- U.S. passport is required for occasional travel to conferences and company meetings.
- Strong interest in technology, agriculture, commodities, or finance.
- Exceptional communication skills—phone, email, and LinkedIn.
- A proactive, independent, and highly organized self-starter.
- Energized by cold calling and hitting goals.
- Comfortable working in a startup environment where speed, responsibility, and ownership matter.
