Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist in supervising children during daily activities, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning sessions
- Support early childhood education and developmental activities aligned with age-appropriate curricula
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and first aid procedures
- Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, and social interactions to promote growth and learning
- Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play
- Collaborate with lead teachers or caregivers to implement classroom routines and behavior management strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
Requirements
- Prior experience in childcare, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Ability to care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development
- Relevant experience in early childhood education or caregiving roles is advantageous
