Child Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and possess a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Duties

• Assist in supervising children during daily activities, including playtime, meals, naps, and learning sessions
• Support early childhood education and developmental activities aligned with age-appropriate curricula
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and first aid procedures
• Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, and social interactions to promote growth and learning
• Help with diapering, feeding, and basic caregiving tasks for infants and toddlers
• Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play
• Collaborate with lead teachers or caregivers to implement classroom routines and behavior management strategies
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities

Requirements

• Prior experience in childcare, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development stages and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Ability to care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development
• Relevant experience in early childhood education or caregiving roles is advantageous
