Driver & Warehouse Assistant
Aunt Sally’s Pralines is looking for a Driver & Warehouse Assistant to drive our company van to our local New Orleans customers, operate a forklift and assist in our warehouse.
We are an iconic brand founded in New Orleans in 1935, New Orleans Most Famous Praline, ™ and are still family owned. We also sell premium authentic gourmet items, unique gifts and treasures that embody our Cresent City. We are in the heart of the warehouse district.
As a Driver & Warehouse Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Driving our company Transit Van to our local New Orleans wholesale/retail customers.
- Managing paperwork for delivery and receipt for the above.
- Pull and pack merchandise for the above and for transfers to our store.
- Prepare shipments for pick-up and delivery
- Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load orders being picked up and for orders to be delivered.
- Receive deliveries physically and through inventory management software.
- Complete receiving paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Unpack, tag retail merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and inventory counts.
- Assist Kitchen and Shipping co-workers by moving cases and containers as requested.
- Assist all staff with garbage disposal, and secure dumpsters daily at close of business.
The skills and experience required to be successful in this job include:
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license and an excellent driving record, (required)
- Experience operating a pallet jack and forklift. (Forklift certification required)
- Highly reliable with a strong work ethic
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Good organizational skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Good vision
- Able to stand for a full eight-hour shift
- Able to lift 60 pounds
- Flexible learner
- Able to work well with a diverse group of co-workers, and contribute positively to the work environment
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
