We are currently seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant for our Health Center!  This position is responsible for assisting the Dental Hygienist in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients of the community health center.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Serve as the chair-side assistant to the Dental Hygienist or Dentist, if needed.
• Prepare operatory for patient treatment as per Dental Department protocols and under the direction of the Dental Hygienist or Dentist.
• Expose and develop dental radiographs in accordance with the State regulations and law, as well as Dental Department directive and protocols.
• Maintain Dental Department equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s directions and department policies and procedures.
• Ensure the sterility of all reusable dental instruments and equipment in accordance with department policies and procedures

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience Requirements 

• High School diploma/GED and successful completion of training or assisting required.
• Experience with the developmentally delayed population required for particular sites.
• Ability to work late evening hours, weekend hours and scheduled holidays.
