Aumann Auctions began in 1962 as a small, local auction company within a 30 mile radius. In the late eighties, they began specializing in niche markets and their business began to grow beyond their immediate area. They have continued focusing on narrow niche markets while maintaining a regional business that includes higher end assets and real estate. They are the largest seller of antique tractor, gas engines, steam engines and early ag related motorized equipment and memorabilia. New developing markets are planned and growing.

Position Summary:

The Digital Media Coordinator applies professional marketing and communications practices (advertising, event marketing, publicity, branding, direct marketing, social media, and more) to build the Aumann Auctions and Aumann Vintage Power brands, increase sales & market share. The Digital Media Coordinator will be responsible for the creation and administration of actions and programs to track, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of the marketing programs and will help administer effective market research methods to track brand awareness; seller and bidder perceptions, attitudes, and opinions; and changing market demand conditions. Individual campaigns can be as small as local $1,000 social media based promotions to $100,000 budget full blown events with print, television, catalogs, signage and entertainment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the marketing of Aumann Auctions auction inventories, events and services to both potential bidders and sellers.
  • Assist in the determination of an approximate $800,000 annual marketing budget and deliver marketing collateral within agreed budget.
  • Manage and maintain all email campaigns, social media advertising, and all other digital marketing efforts.
  • Maintain the company and bidder information portions of Aumann Auctions and Aumann Vintage Power including but not limited to the online catalogs that provides auction information, items for sale and lead generation.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and up to date content regarding auctions, product information, product photography and more on the Aumann websites and social media properties.
  • Retain and oversee the activities of appropriate outside vendors, auction managers and strategic marketing partners
  • Ability for basic graphic design and management of large graphic design projects. We have an inhouse graphic designer to collaborate with.

Job Requirements:

  • Two plus years of marketing experience with increasing responsibility- preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Sufficient English language skills (vocabulary, spelling, grammar) as necessary to be a thorough and accurate developer and proofreader of all types of marketing communications materials.
  • This position is full time, in person and based in Nokomis, IL
  • You must be an upbeat, multi-tasking, creative thinker! Organization is paramount!

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
