Join our Team!!! We are looking for Experienced Over The Road Truck Drivers to transport propane tanks to and from Portage, WI- All loads originate or return to Portage, WI. Drivers can expect to be in Portage, WI several times throughout the week. Operators will be required to load and unload tanks onto flatbed trailer using truck mounted knuckle boom crane, forklift or telehandler - Loading and unloading may be VERY physically demanding at times; climbing, pushing, pulling etc.
- Scheduled work is Monday through Friday, Weekends are OPTIONAL!
- Drivers are paid for loading in addition to mileage pay.
- Actual mileage wage is based on experience.
- OTR driver wage starts at $.76 per mile plus loading
- Driver training wage is $35.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Transport used and finished propane tanks to and from customer locations throughout the country - All loads originate or return to Portage, WI. Drivers can expect to be in Portage, WI several times throughout the week.
- Load and unload Propane tanks with truck mounted knuckle boom crane
- Loading and unloading tanks - WILL require climbing, pushing, pulling etc.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Inspect trucks for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Preferred Experience operating skid loader, telehandler, wheel loader and crane Loading and Unloading may require climbing, pushing, pulling etc.
- Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Pay: $105,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
