Assistant Professor, Business Management

Augustana University invites applications for the position of full-time Assistant Professor of Business Management. Tenure track position. 

Responsibilities:

• Teaches graduate and undergraduate courses and conducts research in the business and management disciplines with special focus on the areas of business, management, or administration. 
• Develops and designs curriculum to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and encourage student engagement. 
• Course offerings may be taught during the day, evening, or online, as well as taught using distance learning formats. 
• Provides academic advising and assesses student outcomes. 
• Provides intellectual leadership, conducts research, and makes contributions to the literature in the field of business. 
• Engage in service to the department, university, and community

Qualifications: 

• A PhD or DBA in a qualifying academic major, including Business, Business Administration, Management, or Strategic Management. ABD candidates accepted. 
• Candidates with a discipline specific business degree (finance, marketing) will also be considered. 
• Post-secondary teaching experience and research accomplishment are preferred. 
• Candidates with additional non-academic business experience are preferred. 
• Interacting with students, faculty and leadership with different backgrounds and points of view and a deep appreciation of and respect for academic values and culture must be a top value of the candidate.
