What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tasting Room Server position at Augusta Vin Estate Winery?
Join one of Texas’s premier estate wineries. Established in 2017, Augusta Vin is a 60-acre vineyard featuring a curated selection of French and Italian varietals, most of which are produced on-site.
We are seeking professional, mature, outgoing, and hospitality-driven professionals to join our tasting room team. In this position, you will guide guests through tastings, share the Augusta Vin story, and confidently recommend wines—while contributing to the growth of our wine club and fostering long-term brand loyalty.
SERVER EXPECTATIONS
- Deliver a consistently elevated guest experience from greeting to checkout
- Lead engaging, educational, and fun wine tastings
- Drive wine sales and wine club memberships through natural conversation and recommendations
- Strongly encourage online guest reviews to help increase company brand awareness.
- Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized wine bar area and tasting room
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational tasks
- Contribute to a positive, team-first environment
SERVER REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to build rapport quickly
- Customer service or hospitality experience (winery, restaurant, bar, etc.)
- Comfortable with sales and recommendations
- Professional, friendly, confident demeanor
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Weekend and holiday availability required
- Can lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., wine cases, stocking)
- Ability to be on your feet for 8-10 hours
- Wine knowledge a plus but not required; paid training provided
- Current TABC Certification
- Current Texas Food Handler Certification
