Augusta Symphony is the primary professional orchestra for Augusta’s River Region. The organization pursues its mission to share the joy of great musical performance with the community through annual symphonic, Pops, and family concerts that reach over 12,000 patrons, annually. Augusta Symphony also promotes broad accessibility to live classical music and lifelong appreciation through its Community Chords Music Education, Veterans Outreach, and Group Music Therapy programs, serving approximately 27,000 youth and adults within a 75-mile radius of Augusta.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Augusta, GA, for a Development Director. The Development Director will oversee fundraising activities, manage annual and planned giving programs, and develop and implement philanthropy strategies. Responsibilities also include budgeting and collaborating with the board and staff to achieve the organization’s financial goals, ensuring the symphony's sustainability and growth.
Qualifications
- Fundraising and Philanthropy skills
- Experience with Planned Giving and Annual Giving programs
- Strong Budgeting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Communications, or a related field, preferred
- Experience in the arts or nonprofit sector is a plus
