What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Therapist - Oncology (Part-time) position at Augusta Health?
The Radiation Therapist:
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of ionizing radiation treatment, CT simulation and technology and delivers prescribed treatment plan based on direction from the radiation oncologist(s).
- Maintains high professional standards of conduct and patient care, ensuring patient and employee safety and confidentiality.
- Adheres to the employee expectations and values set forth.
Experience Desired
- 2 or more years of experience as a radiation therapist in a progressive environment preferred
License Requirements
- Certified or certification eligible by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation
- Therapy (renewed annually)
- Certification in CPR- BLS

Work Conditions
- Exposure to radiation
- Exposure to blood|body fluids and infectious disease
- Uses the ability to Hear, Speak, See, Smell, Distinguish color, Write legibly, Read, and Pay attention to detail
- Must be able to take weekday and weekend call

- Must be able to lift, push, pull 20 - 50 lbs frequently
