What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician - Various Units position at Augusta Health?
Under the supervision and direction of a registered nurse, performs various duties assisting unit staff nurses and clerical specialists to ensure efficient unit operations and safe patient care following established procedures. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit or within his/her department. Must be able to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures, while maintaining the Augusta Health Service Standards.

Experience Requirements
- Active Virginia State Board of Nursing CNA license OR Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program and have completed the first semester of clinical rotations OR Enrollment in and successful completion of Augusta Health’s in-house Patient Care Tech (PCT) program upon hire.
- Basic Life Support - BLS
- Healthcare and/or customer service experience preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Educational requirements per hospital certifications (Example: Stroke, Orthopedic/Spine).
