What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Forensic Nurse (PRN) position at Augusta Health Brand?
Working under the supervision of the Forensic Program Coordinator, the PRN Forensic Nurse will assess, plan, and implement the individual patient care of any patient that presents with a complaint of sexual assault/abuse, interpersonal violence, or elder or child abuse/neglect/maltreatment according to the Augusta Health Forensic Nursing/Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Policy. The Forensic Nurse will strive to support the philosophy and core values of the hospital and function as a representative of Augusta Health when in contact with the community.
This is a PRN position that requires at least 36 hours of call per month.

Requirements
- A Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in patient care. Ideally the candidate has completed a SANE classroom course and all appropriate clinical and has received a completion certificate from a certified instructor. If not, training will be provided. A nurse who has an interest in promoting forensic nursing.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred but not required. CPR certification required.
- Demonstrates ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams, communicate needs, and work with peers to establish smooth functioning.
