What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donor Relations Coordinator position at Augusta Health Brand?
The Donor Relations Coordinator has responsibility for the daily activities and maintenance of the donor database, as well as the recording, depositing and reconciliation of all cash, pledges and payroll deduction donations ensuring compliance with Foundation policies and procedures. In addition, the Coordinator provides administrative and program support for events, appeals and in-kind gift solicitation, donations and distribution. He/she will have exemplary organizational skills, exhibit professional demeanor with staff, board members, physicians, constituents, and donors. He/she must be able to manage multiple tasks and maintain the confidentiality of donors and patients.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in accounting or business
- Minimum two years of administrative support/fundraising software
Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge fundraising software (or comparable donor database)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of event planning and support
- The Coordinator will be privy to confidential information about board members, donors, employees, patients, and business & community leaders. This information must be held in strict confidence to maintain trust and legal obligations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, highly organized and self-directed.
- Exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative, especially when handling gifts, commitments and financial information, donor and patient information, or when responding to inquiries.
- Works both independently and cooperatively with peers and those in authority.
