What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant - Sports Medicine - PRN position at Augusta Health Brand?
Under the supervision of the Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant:
- performs duties as assigned that include receptionist, secretarial and operational duties for Physician Office Practice, while serving as the liaison between the patient, other staff and the physician
- initiates implementation of processes and or has access to all operational components of the office as required by daily operation
- has access to operational components of a practice includes access to physician’s office, medical records, medical supplies
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent required
- One year general office support experience required
- Medical office experience preferred
- Requires a basic understanding of general office routines and procedures with the ability to file accurately
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; proficient with computers to include keyboarding, basic navigation and use of email (Outlook)
- Ability to work with multi-line phone and computer systems accurately and efficiently
- Effective customer service and relationship building skills with patients, visitors and staff; ability to respect dignity of all patients and follow HIPAA rules without breaches in confidentiality
- Ability to transcribe documents
- Proficient listening, verbal and written communication skills
