Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Strategic Buyer based in Augusta, GA. The Strategic Buyer will be responsible for evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, handling procurement, and managing purchasing and supply chain operations. The role involves maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods or services, and supporting strategic initiatives to optimize cost and efficiency. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is critical to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Supplier Evaluation and relationship management
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Strong background in Purchasing and Procurement practices
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes and strategies
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
- Experience in a government or public-sector environment is a plus
- Proficiency in relevant software and procurement tools
