To get there, I’m looking for a high performer like you to join our payroll and P4P team at the Command Center in Ferndale, WA.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $24/hour
- Annual raises: $1/hour every year
- Hours: Training shift for 90 days 7:00AM - 3:00PM.
- 401k plan (after 90 days)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our finance And P4P (pay for performance) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role requires proficiency in various payroll and accounting software, along with a strong understanding of financial concepts and human resources functions. The Payroll Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate employee compensation records, benefits administration, and related financial transactions.
Duties
- Process payroll for employees of a 200 location franchise across the Unites States.
- Manage payroll data entry, verification, and reconciliation to maintain precise records.
- Administer employee benefits programs and handle related documentation.
- Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll and benefits for accuracy.
- Perform account reconciliations including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax-related entries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Assist with non-profit accounting functions if applicable.
- Support HRIS systems integration and updates to streamline payroll processes.
- Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information at all times.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams on audits, reporting, and process improvements.
Skills
- Proficiency in payroll management software.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks and other financial tools.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts related to payroll processing, general ledger accounting, debits & credits, journal entries, and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience with benefits administration and governmental reporting requirements.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing).
- Ability to perform account reconciliation and analysis efficiently.
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of tax regulations affecting payroll processing.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments including human resources and finance teams. P4P (Pay for Performance)Training
- P4P It’s a compensation model where pay is directly tied to measurable results rather than just hours worked or a fixed salary. P4P is a system created to pay an employee a portion of everything they make for the company. Calculations are done in the P4P software and sent to the employee daily from the Command Center.
