Part-Time Experienced Floral Designer:
Augusta Florist 118 Mt. Vernon Ave, Augusta Maine
Position Overview:
Augusta Florist is seeking a part time floral designer with proven experience in a flower shop to join our strong existing design team. This role requires the ability to create professional quality arrangements in keeping with the shop's signature styles, provide friendly customer service and assist with daily shop needs. We are a full service florist, and as such, this role is not limited to just the design bench. In addition to design, you will need to participate in all aspects of customer service and shop functions.
Requirements:
- Prior floral design experience
- Strong design skills and knowledge of cut flower care
- Ability to work efficiently in a full-service florist environment
- Willingness to mesh your personal design style with the "look" of Augusta Florist
- Reliable, professional and customer satisfaction focused
- Additional availability for major floral holidays and events as needed
- Ability to lift buckets/arrangements up to 40 pounds
- Valid drivers license
Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain good relationships with customers and co-workers
- Create arrangements for everyday occasions, sympathy work, events, etc.
- Process flowers and maintain cooler organization
- Assist with customer orders in person and by phone
- Provide support for all aspects of holiday and peak-season work overflow
- And anything else that needs doing
