Augusta Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Loan Processor to join our growing team. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and efficient loan process from application to closing.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and excels at communication with clients, loan officers, and third parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze borrower profiles, including credit, title, income, assets, and complex business tax returns
- Utilize automated underwriting systems (DU/LP) and assess findings accurately
- Submit complete loan files to underwriting and manage all conditions through final approval
- Proactively communicate loan status with borrowers, loan officers, agents, and operations staff
- Maintain accurate and timely updates in LOS and CRM systems
- Request and track outstanding conditions and documentation from all parties
- Order Closing Disclosures and manage timelines to ensure on-time closings
- Collaborate with and support the Junior Processor; provide coverage as needed
- Participate in daily and/or weekly team meetings (in-person or virtual)
- Ensure all deadlines, conditions, and compliance requirements are met
Qualifications
- Proficiency with DU, LP, FHA Connection, and VA Portal
- Knowledge of HECM loans (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with Encompass (preferred)
- Ability to manage a pipeline of 75 loans/month and close a minimum of 15 loans/month
- Ability to quickly learn and apply company policies and procedures
Compensation & Benefits
- $24–$35/hour (based on experience)

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience as a Senior Loan Processor
- Strong knowledge of conventional (including Jumbo & Non-QM) and government loan guidelines
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides indirect oversight and support to departmental team members
- Ensures alignment with company policies and applicable regulations
