Job Description

Augusta Aviation, Inc. is seeking a skilled and dedicated Aircraft Mechanic to join our maintenance team. Our service department supports a wide range of general aviation aircraft which include our growing fleet of trainers and charter aircraft as well as our many customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong aircraft maintenance and repair background, excellent communication and analytical skills, demonstrate professionalism and leadership, and be dedicated to learning and growing in this field.


Position Overview:

As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of aircraft in compliance with FAA standards and regulations. Your role will include troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing inspections and repairs, and completing other scheduled maintenance.

Augusta Aviation is a full-service Cirrus service center with CAPs certification as well as a part 145 avionics repair station. Additionally, we provide support for our fleet of King Air part 135 aircraft. This setting provides the opportunity for gaining quality experience in many areas while advancing your skills and expertise.


Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification (REQUIRED).
  • Experience working on turboprops preferred.
  • General Aviation Piston single and multi-engine experience preferred.


Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • Mechanic-supplied toolbox.
  • Must be able to document maintenance performed on required company forms.
  • Proficiency in working with airframe and powerplant systems and components.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) relevant to aircraft maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A commitment to safety and quality assurance in all aspects of work.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer and math skills.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivating on a daily basis.
