Job Description
At this moment we are primarily looking for one or two happy, active and high energy new people for weekday Swing Shifts, and weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday) Day and/or Swing Shifts. Descriptions of shifts are below.
Direct support staff are responsible to assist and support our clients with their day to day routines and activities, in and out of the individual's home or program. We very much prefer to hire poeple who want to and will get our clients out of their home each day and doing activities and things in the community. Part Time or Full Time are currently available, and we would like to hire people for day shifts ($18.00/hr from about 8 or 9 AM to 2 or 3 PM), swing shifts (18.00/hr from about 2 or 3 PM to about 9 or 10 PM) and/or for Sleeping Graveyard Shifts (about $134 per shift, from 10 PM to 9 AM most of the time). Schedules could vary between weekdays and weekends or be a mix of both, however schedules, once set up don't typically change from week to week unless a change is needed, or the staff decides to change it.
General qualifications
- Must be happy, friendly, and service oriented
- Must have prior experience as a DSP
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must not have any history of neglect, abuse, violence or domestic charges
- Must be physically able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must not suck at life
Responsibilities
- Personal, loving care and attention our client
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Assistance with keeping their home clean and nice
- Transportation to and from activities in either company or personal vehicle (We reimburse for Mileage)
- Assistance with individual’s personal hygiene
- Attending staff meetings, company meetings
- Documentation of the day’s activities, incidents, etc.
- Other types of day to day occurrences
