THE COMPANY
August Robotics is an international startup building application-specific robots to automate business workflows. We have offices in Australia, the US, Germany, China, and Hong Kong, and are backed by leading Asia-Pacific VC investors. We design and deploy robots for use in construction, exhibition, and industrial environments.
We are expanding our commercial team in the USA and are looking for an Account Executive to support the adoption of our solutions within the construction sector, focusing on engaging contractors and key project stakeholders across commercial builds.
THE ROLE
As an Account Executive, you will drive new business within the construction sector across the US, managing opportunities from initial outreach through close. You will build relationships with contractors and key project stakeholders while working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to bring our solutions to market and deliver value to customers.
Core responsibilities include:
- Driving new business through outbound prospecting and relationship building within the construction industry
- Managing the sales process from initial outreach through to contract negotiation and closing
- Building strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and key project stakeholders
- Delivering client presentations, product demos, and supporting successful deployments
- Maintaining a strong pipeline and accurate forecasts while contributing to overall commercial efforts
- Representing the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings
YOUR SKILLS
You must have:
- 3-5 years of quota-carrying sales experience, ideally within construction, building materials, or construction technology
- Experience or exposure to MEP construction (mechanical, electrical, or plumbing), either through direct sales or by working closely with relevant contractors
- Proven track record of closing deals and meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Solid understanding of construction workflows, stakeholders, and project lifecycles
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, from project teams to decision-makers
In addition to the above requirements, the following skills are helpful (but not required):
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
- Exposure to longer or more complex sales cycles
- Existing network within the construction industry
This requires travel. While we prefer candidates located in or willing to relocate to Las Vegas, we will consider exceptional remote candidates.
