Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourContract to Hire PositionPosition: Quality TechnicianLocation: Westminster, MDShift: 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm; Monday - Friday)Pay: $24 - $25/hourJob Summary of the Quality Technician position:Able to perform a wide range of duties including maintaining all procedures as outlined in the QA work instruction and QA manuals. Able to assist all departments in any quality functions as required. Able to perform various duties as outlined by Quality Management, coupled with following/achieving manufacturing, quality, and performance standards, while exceeding our customer’s expectations with quality and service in a timely manner.Essential Functions:Performs in-process, final and special inspections of deliverable parts and/or assemblies.Performs receiving inspection of purchased raw materials, semi- finished in-process parts and finished parts.Operates and/or programs automated inspection equipment.Works closely with Production Supervision and advises of any gage, Statistical Process Control (SPC) or material problems.Maintains Quality Assurance files on PCs, MIS and manual filing systems.Operates inspection equipment Performs special projects as assigned by Quality Management.Maintains good communication with other team members and Management.Detects and reports improper operating or faulty equipment and any unusual conditions to Supervisors, Group Leaders, and/or Managers.Maintains work area and equipment in a clean, safe and orderly condition – Sustains 5SLead Material Review Board (MRB) to disposition non-conformances.Lead Configuration Management activities and leader of Configuration Control Board.Responsible for maintaining and following all quality standards and standard operating procedures.Maintains and protects all company assets under their control.Requirements/Qualifications:Must have a GED or high school diploma.3 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
