Gas Plant Technician (Maintenance Technician)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Gas Plant Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of plant systems and equipment. This role is critical to ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to equipment failures across the facility.

This position reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager (site-specific).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) inspections
• Diagnose, repair, and rebuild equipment including:
  • Balers, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and pumps
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Compressors, compactors, and sorting equipment
  • Forklifts, loaders, and facility equipment
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and service calls
• Maintain Daily Equipment Inspection (DEI) logs and backlog
• Adjust work priorities to meet production demands
• Inspect and verify quality of third-party repairs
• Recommend improvements to increase equipment performance and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Perform duties with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical
• Ability to perform physical job duties (lifting, bending, standing)

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance or mechanical experience

Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with single and three-phase electrical systems
• Knowledge of:
  • Electrical control systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Pneumatic systems (including air compressors)
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment
• Comfortable using tools and diagnostic equipment safely
