Position Overview

APS is seeking a Staff Digital Delivery Specialist to support digital project delivery initiatives across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects. This role is responsible for executing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), digital delivery workflows, and project collaboration technologies throughout the project lifecycle.

The Staff Digital Delivery Specialist will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to implement digital delivery strategies, maintain project standards, and support the integration of advanced technologies that improve project execution. This position plays a key role in coordinating BIM models, facilitating design-build project delivery, supporting digital quality assurance and quality control processes, and enhancing project outcomes through data-driven digital solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in BIM and digital delivery platforms, experience supporting complex engineering and construction projects, and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement through automation and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform BIM coordination activities and support critical digital delivery initiatives across multiple projects.
• Execute digital delivery tasks in accordance with project scopes, schedules, budgets, and QA/QC requirements.
• Support the development and implementation of digital delivery standards, processes, procedures, and tools.
• Participate in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and design-build project environments.
• Conduct clash detection reviews and coordinate issue reporting, tracking, and resolution efforts.
• Manage project setup activities including model configuration, digital project environments, cloud collaboration platforms, access management, and digital procurement support.
• Identify repetitive workflows and develop AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Prepare and deliver digital model presentations and demonstrations for clients and project stakeholders.
• Update and maintain virtual reality (VR) simulations to support project visualization and stakeholder engagement.
• Research, compile, validate, and audit project data and metadata to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Develop and maintain digital delivery content throughout planning, design, construction, and project closeout phases.
• Assist with digital delivery scope development and project budget estimates.
• Recommend digital delivery methodologies, workflows, and technologies in collaboration with project teams.
• Develop and maintain digital delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Support cross-functional collaboration among engineering, construction, and project management teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Virtual Design and Construction, Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience, OR
• Associate degree with 6 years of relevant experience, OR
• 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience planning, organizing, training, and delivering complex BIM models and digital project deliverables across multidisciplinary teams.
• Advanced knowledge of BIM and digital delivery software platforms and industry standards.
• Experience integrating multiple BIM models across various software environments.
• Understanding of EPC project execution and digital delivery integration throughout project lifecycles.
• Experience performing BIM coordination, clash detection, model management, and project collaboration.
• Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration platforms and digital project environments.
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes related to digital design and model delivery.
• Ability to learn, evaluate, and implement new software tools and technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related project delivery technologies.

Preferred Experience / Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale engineering, infrastructure, utility, energy, industrial, or construction projects.
• Knowledge of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Design-Build project methodologies.
• Experience with virtual reality (VR), digital twins, and advanced visualization technologies.
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation technologies used to improve project delivery processes.
• Experience developing digital delivery standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of project data management and metadata auditing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, collaboration, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality project execution.
