Role Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, organizing, tracking, and transporting materials and equipment across project sites or warehouses. This role requires physical stamina, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work in coordination with procurement, logistics, and construction teams.
Key Responsibilities

Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hoists, or by hand

Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and document discrepancies

Organize and stage materials for construction crews or fabrication teams

Maintain clean and orderly storage areas and laydown yards

Assist with inventory counts, labeling, and documentation

Ensure all materials are stored and handled in compliance with safety and quality standards

Deliver tools, supplies, and materials to various departments or site locations

Operate equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety issues
Qualifications:
Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred

1–3 years of experience in material handling, warehousing, or logistics roles

Familiarity with basic inventory practices and material tracking

Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid certification preferred)

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in indoor/outdoor industrial environments

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
Nice to Have

Experience in construction, energy, or heavy industrial job sites

Forklift certification (OSHA or client-specific)

Basic computer/data entry skills for inventory systems or shipping/receiving logs
