Position Overview
Augment Professional Services (APS) is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives within an enterprise IT environment. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end project execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and IT delivery.
The Senior IT Project Manager will oversee project planning, execution, governance, and reporting while coordinating across internal IT teams and business stakeholders, including platforms such as Salesforce and enterprise operational systems. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to strategic priorities.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage multiple concurrent initiatives, guide junior project managers, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, stakeholder-heavy environment. The role combines tactical execution (planning, tracking, reporting) with strategic oversight (risk management, stakeholder alignment, governance).
Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills
- 7 years of experience in IT project or program management within enterprise environments
- Proven ability to build, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
- Strong experience leading end-to-end IT projects involving system implementations, integrations, or platform enhancements
- Experience overseeing multiple project managers or workstreams within a larger program structure
- Demonstrated ability to lead recurring project meetings, including agenda development, facilitation, action tracking, and follow-up
- Strong risk and issue management experience, including identification, prioritization, escalation, and mitigation planning
- Experience presenting project updates, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Ability to establish and lead governance forums such as steering committees and stakeholder review sessions
- Experience working with cross-functional IT and business teams, including platforms such as Salesforce and enterprise operational systems
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation experience, including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications
- Experience maintaining project documentation, including status reports, RAID logs (risks, actions, issues, dependencies), and decision logs
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar)
- Strong understanding of IT delivery lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies)
- Ability to support testing cycles, including UAT coordination, defect tracking, and release readiness activities
- Experience driving change management and ensuring successful user adoption
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business-friendly messaging
Preferred Experience / Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale IT programs spanning multiple business units or enterprise platforms
- Familiarity with Salesforce ecosystems and enterprise system integrations
- Experience within regulated industries such as utilities, energy, or infrastructure
- PMP, PgMP, or similar project management certification
- Experience with portfolio-level reporting and PMO governance structures
- Exposure to data, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior project managers and coordinate across distributed teams
