The Industrial Vacuum Technician plays a key role in performing industrial cleaning and maintenance services using high-powered vacuum and hydro-blasting equipment. This position ensures safe and effective removal of industrial waste, debris, and hazardous materials from tanks, vessels, pipelines, and job sites. The technician works as part of a field service team, often in demanding environments, and is expected to follow strict safety standards and operational procedures.

Position Overview
The Industrial Vacuum Technician plays a key role in performing industrial cleaning and maintenance services using high-powered vacuum and hydro-blasting equipment. This position ensures safe and effective removal of industrial waste, debris, and hazardous materials from tanks, vessels, pipelines, and job sites. The technician works as part of a field service team, often in demanding environments, and is expected to follow strict safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial vacuum trucks, hydro-blasters, and other specialized equipment to perform cleaning and material removal.
- Safely remove and contain hazardous and non-hazardous waste from tanks, silos, pipelines, and other confined spaces.
- Perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance to ensure proper operation.
- Assist with job site setup, including hose connections, safety equipment, and containment systems.
- Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to confined space entry procedures.
- Accurately complete job tickets, safety documentation, and equipment logs.
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within scope.
- Respond to emergency call-outs for industrial spills, shutdowns, or other urgent client needs.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications preferred.
- Prior experience operating industrial vacuum or hydro-blasting equipment is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL Class A or B preferred).
- Valid TWIC card required.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces, heights, and extreme weather.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to compliance standards.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically intensive labor.
- Comfortable wearing full PPE, including respirators and protective suits.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
