Counter lead

As a Counter lead Person, at Augie's you are the face of our establishment, responsible for providing exceptional Guest service to all patrons. You will be stationed at the front counter, taking orders, processing transactions, making Shakes and ensuring that each Guest’s experience reflects the high standards of Augie's.

• Guest Service Excellence:
• Greet Guest with a warm and friendly demeanor as they approach the counter.
• Provide menu information, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food items.
• Handle Guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
• Order Processing:
• Accurately and efficiently take guest orders using our POS (Point of Sale) system.
• Ensure orders are entered correctly, noting any special requests or modifications.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Cash Handling and Transactions:
• Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized cash register area.
• Issue receipts and handle returns or exchanges as per company policies.
• Balance drawer at the end of your shift
• Shakes and Malt’s
• Make all Shakes to spec recipes
• Knowledge of time management and be efficient
• Menu Knowledge:
• Familiarize/know the Mister Sizzle’s menu, including ingredients, cooking methods, and portion sizes.
• Stay informed about current promotions, discounts, and meal deals.
• Maintaining Cleanliness:
• Keep the counter area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist with maintaining overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area. Including, tables , chairs, windows and walls
• Monitor and restock condiments, napkins, utensils and water as needed.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy and efficiency.
• Communicate Guest feedback, special requests, and any operational issues to the appropriate team members.
• Support fellow team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure the health and safety of customers. Hair pulled back
• Follow company policies and procedures, including dress code and grooming standards.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.

• Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a Guest service role, preferably in the food service industry.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the counter area.
• Lift and carry trays of food, beverages, and supplies as needed.
• Work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and noise.
