What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Audubon Dermatology?
Audubon Dermatology's office currently has an opening for a full-time RN. Applicants must have a friendly disposition and have good patient rapport. Applicants must be experienced, dependable, and available to work Monday-Friday.
Responsible for assisting the physician with patient care including; obtaining history and chief complaint, assisting with biopsies, surgical procedures, and cosmetic procedures. Prepares exam rooms, escorts patients to room, and prepares them for doctor. Other responsibilities include patient education on treatment plans and medication, nursing procedures, such as suture removal, dressing changes, allergen patch testing, and completion of pathology and lab requisition documents.

Ongoing responsibilities:
- Ensures daily check list is complete every day.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked before and after patient visits.
- Manages EHR software efficiently
- Ensure patient schedule/labs/path prepared for next day
- Instruments cleaned and autoclaved daily
- Look at next day schedule to prepare accordingly (surgery, etc.)
- Alerting/Assisting physicians with hospital consults as needed
- Ensure nursing station stays clean/organized
