Position: Radiology Technologist

Department: Radiology

Hours: Full-Time (Includes on-call, holiday and weekend rotation)

Location: Audubon, IA

General Description

Will perform general radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment. Takes responsibility for designated areas or procedures required. Manipulate, adjust and control the complex electronic and computerized components of the imaging system to produce patient examinations and research project while performing quality assurance procedures and evaluating system performance throughout the working day. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision. Works with all levels within the organization and maintains positive relationships, cooperation, communication and coordination of all activities.

Experience/Education Requirements

Graduation from an accredited program of radiology with current registration through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and permit to practice through the State of Iowa. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions. Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Must exhibit a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.

Audubon County Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 17 bed, Critical Access Hospital serving Audubon County and the surrounding areas, with the mission of “Excellence With Quality and Compassion to Those We Serve.” Our services include emergency services, acute care, skilled nursing services, laboratory, radiology, respiratory therapy, sleep studies, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical services. In addition, we offer several specialty services including orthopedic, mental health, pain management, podiatry, oncology, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, rheumatology, and urology.

We also operate two rural health clinics, Audubon Family Health Care Clinic and Exira Medical Clinic. Our clinics offer complete care from newborns to senior adults by providing well child check-ups, age-appropriate preventative care, sports and school physicals, immunizations, and treatment of occasional and ongoing illnesses.
