Audubon is currently seeking a Survey Technology & Operations Specialist to join our team. The Survey Technology & Operations Specialist strengthens Audubon’s technical, operational, and professional land surveying foundation. This role supports both field and office survey operations while ensuring compliance with state surveying laws, NSPS standards, NGS guidance, FAA regulations for UAV operations, and industry best practices. The position serves as a technical resource across boundary, topographic, route, construction, and as-built survey services and supports training, QA/QC, project planning, and technology advancement.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support boundary, topographic, route, construction, and as-built surveys
- Perform QA/QC on survey data and deliverables
- Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control networks
- Evaluate GNSS, total stations, UAVs, and 3D laser scanning technologies
- Standardize field-to-finish survey workflows
- Develop and deliver training programs for survey staff
- Assist with survey execution planning, estimating, and bidding
- Coordinate UAV and laser scanning operations
- Manage select survey or geospatial projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with land surveying and geospatial technologies
- Proficiency with survey software such as Trimble Business Center or Civil 3D
- Strong understanding of survey standards and regulations
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- The role requires active pursuit of Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure in key states where Audubon operates, participation in continuing education, and support of safety and technology leadership initiatives.
