Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Team Member. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and providing excellent customer service in this quick service, deli, and market environment.
Duties:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, and assembling ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent quality
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Stock and organize ingredients and supplies
- Assist with inventory management and restocking
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting with orders
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
