Position Overview
The Payroll clerk works closely with the County Clerk and Elected Officials. This position is responsible for bi-weekly and monthly payroll. The position will also help out during election season with voter registration and helping the county residents during the voting process.
Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 to 5:00
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Microsoft Office experience preferred
· Microsoft Excel experience preferred

· Payroll Reports
· State and Federal payroll taxes and laws
· Garnishment Compliance
· W2's
· Data Entry
· Local elections
· Clerical duties
· Customer Service
· Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and generally sedentary.
Position requires continuous sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to manipulate keyboard, equipment controls, and other office equipment; pinch grasp to manipulate writing utensils. Frequent side-to side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials, occasional squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, moderate grasping to manipulate objects.
