What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Clerical County Collectors Office position at Audrain County?
Position Overview: Process current and delinquent Audrain County property taxes, real estate taxes, licenses. This is a Seasonal-Part-Time position.
Responsibilities:
· Assist taxpayers in person, by phone, and by correspondence in a professional manner.
· Process payments made in-person and via mail, dropbox, web, and online bill pay.
· Balance cash drawers and create payment receipts.
· Utilize approved skip tracing resources to locate taxpayers.
· Perform routine office tasks, stocking supplies, and maintaining retention schedules.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of two to four years of clerical experience, including spreadsheet and word processing applications; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Also has worked in the customer service field.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a professional office setting; assisting the public in person and by telephone; and experience in cashiering or handling cash.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and generally sedentary.
Position requires continuous sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to manipulate keyboard, equipment controls, and other office equipment; pinch grasp to manipulate writing utensils. Frequent side-to side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials, occasional squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, moderate grasping to manipulate objects.
