This is a 6 month contract role, with the potential to go full time after that period.
This role may include evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation.
Job Summary
We are looking for a customer-focused Tier 1 IT Technician to join our hospital IT support team. In this role, you will provide first-line technical assistance to clinical and administrative staff, ensuring reliable access to the systems and devices that support patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and hospital applications.
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access requests.
- Provide support for EMR/EHR systems and hospital-specific software.
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and solutions.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1 year of IT help desk or support experience (healthcare IT a plus).
- Knowledge of Windows, Office 365, and basic networking.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and IT security best practices preferred.
Work Environment
- Hospital/clinical setting; may include evenings, weekends, or on-call rotation.
- Must be able to lift/move IT equipment up to 40 lbs.
Requirements

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
